a little throwback

I've been keeping a diary since I was about 13 or 14, I guess at the very beginning of adolescence. Its always interesting to read back. I am currently reading diary entries from about a year ago. Around this time, I was going through a break up and also heading back to San Diego after being at home for the holidays. A smile came to my face when I read this, "When I got back, Franny and Ashley had a bottle of Moet so we could toast the new year together." Spilling champagne in the car and being with my roomies was special and simply a perfect moment because we were so genuinely happy to see each other after so long apart. It was such a wonderful start to the year. January was probably one of the best, if not the best, month that we had out there together. Right about now, I'm definitely missing the sunshine and warmth of San Diego - the beach, rollerblading on the path behind our apartment, wearing my bathing suit all day long, HAVING A TAN!!! We had a lovely life and lovely distractions :)
