something new

Seeing an example of a certain extreme can propel you in the opposite direction.

Learning of someone's stubborn and indefensible behavior yesterday made me want to suck up whatever pride or frustration I had and take the necessary action to be a better person. I think we have to take the cues that we are given in life and utilize them to improve ourselves. We have a responsibility to those around us to mature and progress beyond our comfort levels.

I know that some people are more quick to self-evaluate and correct than others. We are not all on the same timeline, but it can become a problem in relationships when someone is stagnant.

I welcome change. I always have. I enjoy having new and different experiences and learning more about my own capabilities; challenging myself, testing my limits. I think my current challenge is actually staying in one place instead of packing up and leaving to a random city. I've already decided to go to University of Maryland, so that commitment is definitely going to keep me here for another year or two. I'm getting to really experience and enjoy DC for the first time as well. I have no complaints for the moment, except for the whole hating work bit, but I know that will change too.
