Last night one of my co-workers, a sweet middle aged woman made a comment that just amused me right now. She was with some of the 6th grade girls in the hallway and they asked if they could go up the boys' stairway. There was the slightest pause and I did not hear my co-worker respond, so I chimed a resounding "no" from the RA office.
Then my co-worker said "Ms. HT has no problem saying no."
It's quite true. "No" was my first word. Probably because I was always doing something bad and had to be stopped. And then my brother came along and of course I had to say it to him too.
And nothing has changed. :)
