Money Diary: Day 11

I slept in a bit this morning since I had the day off. Yay!

I went to Wegman's to get some things for the Fourth of July. I spent $71.55, hopefully the food will last awhile. I wanted to try some cupcake recipes from a book F gave me. I guess I will have the ingredients to bake cupcakes for awhile.

After Wegman's I needed to go to DC to get souvenirs for my cousins in Australia. I picked up two books about DC, two packs of freeze dried ice cream (mint chocolate chip) and a journal made of panda poop. I spent a total of about $42 on the souvenirs.

After shopping, we met up with J's friends for a birthday dinner. We took the bus over to H St NE ($1.35). We had sushi at Sticky Rice. The total bill was about $170, but we only paid $36 since we didn't have any drinks (J paid). I really don't like the idea of paying for drinks. I think the most I ever have is just a margarita or something with dinner.

After dinner we went to a couple of other bars. At one of the bars they had skeeball so we played two rounds of it ($2). I lost by a hair both times. At the end of the evening, we caught the bus back to Chinatown and then took the metro home ($1.35+$2.35).

It was a long day, but I think it was productive and I'm ready to enjoy Saturday.
